Celebrating Antanesha Akery, Employee of the Month

Since joining Easterseals in 2023, Antanesha has become a valued teammate who helps create a caring, positive environment for the individuals in our homes and the staff working alongside her.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, her answer was simple: “Making the individuals in our homes and my co-workers happy.”

That commitment guides her daily work. Antanesha takes pride in helping the individuals she supports feel comfortable, cared for, and happy. Earning her CNA certification stands out as her most rewarding professional milestone, reflecting her dedication to developing her skills and providing quality care.

Her coworkers see that dedication in action. They describe her as dependable, ready to help, and willing to go the extra mile.

“She goes over and beyond for residents in the home. She works well with everyone around her,” one teammate shared.

Another praised her teamwork and compassion: “She’s a true team player who creates a positive environment and shows empathy and compassion every day. She truly cares for the residents and their well-being.”

Outside of work, Antanesha enjoys having fun, making those around her happy, and unwinding with a little online shopping.
