Finding the Way: Meet Lesia Irvin

Lesia first joined Easterseals Southern Georgia in 2016 and returned to the organization in 2018. In her role as Technology Coordinator, she helps keep systems running smoothly, troubleshoots challenges, and supports staff across the organization.

“What I enjoy most about my job is knowing that my work directly supports staff in providing services to individuals and families with disabilities,” Lesia shared. “One of the most rewarding moments is resolving a technical issue that helps staff deliver services more smoothly.”

While much of Lesia’s work takes place behind the scenes, she understands how each solution can have a much broader impact. When technology works as it should, staff can spend more time focused on what matters most—supporting the people we serve.

A Lifeline for Individuals and Families

Lesia describes Easterseals as a lifeline for individuals with disabilities and their families. Through essential services, supplies, respite, employment support, skill development, and other resources, she has seen how the organization helps people overcome barriers, reach goals, and live more fully.

She is also motivated by opportunities to help people find solutions. Even when Easterseals may not be able to provide a particular service, Lesia values being able to help point individuals and families toward resources that may meet their needs.

Curiosity, Creativity and a Love of Learning

Outside of work, Lesia enjoys gardening and putting her horticulture degree to use. She also has an adventurous side and keeps a running list of experiences she hopes to try, including skydiving, going on a photo safari, and even living on a deserted island.

Her cats are an important part of her life as well, providing comfort, companionship, and plenty of personality.

Whether she is troubleshooting technology, tending a garden, or thinking about her next adventure, Lesia approaches life with curiosity, creativity, and determination. She describes herself as “the kind of person who always finds the way”—a mindset that perfectly reflects the resourcefulness she brings to Easterseals every day.
