A Heart for Helping Others: Meet Katrina McCloud

Katrina joined Easterseals Southern Georgia in August 2021 and says what she enjoys most about her role is caring for the individuals she works with each day.

For Katrina, some of the most rewarding moments are often the simplest—seeing an individual smile and knowing she played a part in making their day a little brighter.

“I love caring for the clients that I work with daily,” Katrina shared. “Making a difference in their lives and seeing them smile” is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Katrina also sees firsthand how opportunities to participate in the community can make a difference. Whether attending community events, spending time with peers, or simply enjoying a new experience, these moments provide opportunities for connection, inclusion, and fun.

What keeps Katrina motivated? The people she serves.

“The smiles that the clients give when they are happy and comfortable,” she said, are what inspire her to continue showing up and giving her best each day.

That desire to help others extends beyond her role at Easterseals. Katrina describes herself as a loving and giving person who is always willing to do whatever she can to make someone’s day a little better.

Outside of work, Katrina is a proud mother of four and grandmother of six. She enjoys seeing people have a good time and enjoy life, and when she needs time to recharge, she likes to find a quiet place and relax her mind.
