Community Base Work Adjustment Training

Community Base Work Adjustment Training takes place at a work site that is integrated into the community, helping program participants learn how to join and thrive in integrated employment. 

How It Works

A supervisor provides instruction and feedback to help the individual develop or re-establish acceptable work habits and behaviors.

The trainee learns from employees who do not have disabilities, hold permanent positions, and earn at least minimum wage, acclimating them into the workplace while gaining valuable work experience.

Easterseals pays the trainee directly with an amount equal to the minimum wage per hour and is covered under Workers' Compensation Insurance.

• Reimbursement for the individual's training salary is paid by Easterseals
• Support services include, but are not limited to uniforms, tools, bus passes, and training support by trained job coaches
