Job Coaching

Job Coaching involves a combination of skill development, workplace adaptation, and support for both the employee and the employer. The goal is to facilitate successful and sustained employment in a competitive, integrated work environment. 

How it Works

• Job-Task Analysis: Breaking down job duties into manageable steps to facilitate learning.
• Job Training: Providing direct instruction on how to perform specific tasks, including both hard and soft skills.
• Job Behavior Management: Helping individuals develop appropriate workplace behaviors and attitudes.
• Developing Natural Supports: Encouraging the development of relationships with coworkers and supervisors to create a supportive work environment.
• Employer Relationship: Facilitating communication and understanding between the employee and the employer to ensure a positive working relationship.
• Adaptations and Accommodations: Identifying and implementing workplace accommodations to support the employee's success. 

In the Program, Participants will:  

• Learn specific job tasks
• Develop appropriate work behaviors
• Learn how to access transportation
• Learn how to communicate with supervisors and co-workers
• Learn how to use break time and lunch time appropriately
