Johnathan Builds a Future Working with Animals

For Johnathan, training at Pet Plus Supplies has been an opportunity to explore work he enjoys while growing personally and professionally. Along the way, he has discovered that working in a pet store involves connecting with people as well as caring about animals.

“Working at Pet Plus has been a rewarding experience that has helped me grow both personally and professionally,” Johnathan shared. “When I first started, I knew I enjoyed animals, but I quickly learned that the job is also about helping people.”

Supportive coworkers have made his experience especially positive.

“My coworkers are very nice and helpful,” he said.

Through Community Work Adjustment Training, Johnathan is developing workplace skills and gaining experience that can help him take his next steps toward employment. His time at Pet Plus Supplies gives him an opportunity to learn alongside others and explore how his interests can become a career.

Johnathan’s journey highlights the value of opportunities that connect people’s strengths and passions with their employment goals. Easterseals is proud to support him as he continues learning, building relationships, and working toward a future doing what he loves.
