Kyandre’ Corbett with Daylight Donuts owner, Mr. Broomberg

Kyandre’ Corbett is currently participating in Community Work Adjustment Training through Easterseals at Daylight Donuts in Valdosta, Georgia. His main responsibility is to ensure that the donuts are properly iced, because presentation is everything!

In addition to icing the donuts, Kyandre’ assists in preparing the icing, washing dishes, and maintaining the workspace according to health and sanitation guidelines that govern the bakery. He is well-regarded by customers, staff, and the store owners for his strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to accept constructive feedback.

Both the business owners and his site supervisor, Ms. Jennifer Boseman, have praised Kyandre’ for his excellent attendance and his friendly demeanor when greeting coworkers and customers. While he does complete tasks at a slower pace than other employees, everyone is confident that his speed will improve with time and practice.

Kyandre’ has been working at the bakery for a little over four weeks, and his family notes that he has become a “much happier person” since starting this job.

Keep up the great work, Kyandre’! You are making a difference!
