• Champions for Children

  Champions for Children is a state-wide program managed by the five Easterseals Georgia affiliates. Its goal is to raise awareness throughout Georgia about the non-profit services available for medically fragile and special needs children. Champions for Children's primary objective is to improve access to healthcare and support services while helping families care for their children with disabilities at home.

  Learning Fire Safety with the Lee County Fire Department

  A visit to the Lee County Fire Department gave participants from Easterseals’ Albany Adult Day Center an opportunity to learn about fire safety and meet the people who help keep their community safe.

  With a degree from Clayton State University and a goal of beginning her career in criminal justice, Taylor connected with Easterseals Southern Georgia for support. Today, she is putting her education into practice as a member of the Jury Room team at the Dougherty County Government Center.

  With a passion for working with young children and a clear career goal, George came to Easterseals ready to build his future. Through CWAT training and Job Placement services, he found an opportunity that matched his interests and put his strengths to work.

  After a lengthy illness interrupted his career, Calvin Griffin was ready to return to work. With decades of experience, determination, and support from Easterseals Southern Georgia’s Vocational Services, he found a new opportunity at the Albany Area YMCA.
