Easterseals Southern Georgia provides health and wellness support, employment support, housing assistance, and other resources to veterans and their families.

Overview

Serving Veterans and Military Families to Support Their Success 

Easterseals partners with veterans to ensure their successful transition to civilian life. For veterans, military spouses, and caregivers, this sometimes includes mental health resources, job training, and housing assistance, helping them build independence and stability.

Our Programs

Veterans Assistance Program

Easterseals Veterans Assistance Program offers a range of services to support those who have served our country. The program is dedicated to helping Veterans thrive in civilian life by connecting them with resources that promote health and wellness, assist in finding meaningful employment, and achieve stable housing.


Supported Services:

  • Specialized medical supplies
  • Medical diagnostic services
  • Therapeutic services – OP/PT
  • Counseling
  • Environmental modifications
  • Travel Reimbursements (medical appointments/job interviews)
  • Limited housing financial assistance for security/utility deposits
  • Reimbursement for job-related interview expenses, including professional attire
  • Legal assistance
  • Respite Care for veteran families caring for family members with disabilities

Program Requirements:

  • Must have an honorable discharge status verified by the VA
